Our workshop is in Woodstock, an area currently in the midst of gentrification - we have been wanting to get to know our neighbours - so saw this as a good way to facilitate the start of a conversation. Hopefully soon we will be able to go into some of these "blitz fix" houses and tackle individual problems.
On our fixing day we offered tea and cake to any locals. The deal was they had to sit down and have a conversation with us, and through the conversation we isolated people in the area and offered as a service to do a quick fix on anything they had that was damaged/broken. In total we had lots of friends volunteering and fixed about 10/15 different things in the space of 4 hours. This is what the video captures.
